Backstory
I recall a wink of unusual brightness in my teenage room when it struck me that I wanted to study psychology; my plan used to be medicine, perhaps journalism, or literature studies.
It's still a mystery how the spark to study the human psyche emerged. It was probably American movies and my own Soul, seeing her way forward. The fact is, I knew exactly no one practicing psychology or psychotherapy; private practices were non-existent in 90's Slovenia, an ex-communist country. Inspiration came as if out of the blue, and it was one of those defining moments, a fork in the road. Looking back, I think it was all meant to be since my professional path was pretty apparent from then on.
In the same context, Life also pushed me into my inner work at a very young age; I needed to remember plenty to liberate myself and start serving others. Fast forward three decades, lots of my inner work, clinical work, and lengthy education? I keep working as one happy therapist in my private practice ;)
I specialize in holistic healing, and I'm working with women. I assist them so that they safely navigate their "darker nights" and then rise beyond the overwhelming, often traumatic past by resolving the root causes of their struggles.
I have faith in women to embrace their most soulful life
My way of work is about waving together "the psychology and magic" of the transformation of body, mind, soul, and relationship matrix. Experience shows I support women through different stages of their soulful evolution - from the beginnings of the impeccable Maiden age to the riches of the Mother and Matriarch.
I am happily married to Samo; we have been together for many years and are parents of two magnificent young ladies. Samo Božič is a former physics teacher and now a body psychotherapist, and we also share our local psychotherapy practice.
You can find us with our 😻cats😻 in the western part of Slovenia, on a border with Italy, in the Valley of emerald Soča River.

WOMEN SPEAK
Besides individual work and Soul Profile Readings, I create and facilitate Circles - psychospiritual workshops for women. In past years, we have worked with over 100 ladies, and at each workshop, the internal beauty of women overpours my ❤︎ with joy, deepening my faith and hope in humanity. I love working in women's circles; it's an honor, and it's a pleasure.
"After getting in touch with my soul, I'm always calm and at peace with myself. For the first time in my life, I take time for myself without having a guilty conscience because I know it's mine. This gives me new energy. The contact with the soul is for me to get to know myself in depth, to appreciate myself as a woman, to love myself, a cue for a better view of the world and independent action."

"I was the oldest participant, which scared me at first. But it was wonderful. In a circle of precious, incomparably warm, and beautiful women I experienced security, trust, and sincerity. Somehow I feel that I've done a lot in the area of emotions related to my mother and the childhood pains. I took away from the workshop a great gift for my life and I believe that I can further strengthen my relationships with my adult children in a healthy, sincere, and honest way."

"Tina's workshop is an initiation into the life of an adult woman who's deeply in touch with who she's and what she feels. It requires facing your shadow and taking full responsibility for your life. This isn't always comfortable, but it brings with it the gifts of grounding and connection with yourself and those around you. I've attended a few other "spiritual" workshops - Tina's workshop was the first that made visible and tangible changes in my real life."

EXPERIENCES
I began volunteering as an assistant in therapy groups in 2001 and meeting my first individual clients in 2003 as a young psychologist working for NGO in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I consider myself lucky that at the early age of 24, I already worked as a full-time psychologist within a small NGO team led by Sonja Gorup Špenko and Marjan Gorup, gathered precious first experiences with groups, had a great learning experience at Newmarket House Clinic in Norwich, UK, and overall received lots of mentoring.
After moving away from Ljubljana and starting my own family, I also started my private practice in 2009 in a small town on a border with Italy.
While I completed a decade of training in psychodynamic body psychotherapy, I also helped with the beginnings of psychodynamic psychotherapy study in Slovenia. I gave lectures to students and served as a member of the Expert Committee of the Slovenian Umbrella Psychotherapy Association for a few years.
Eventually, I switched my practice from "traditional" psychotherapy, which I didn't find as effective as I would expect, to holistic psychotherapy, specializing in energy approaches in psychotherapy. I have been learning energy psychotherapy with Judith Anderson and a group of UK therapists for several years.
I also studied with different healers and practitioners, only some of them mentioned below. I am interested in shamanic work (without using any psychedelics), exploring sacred womb work, work with archetypes, tarot, astrology, and Bach flower remedies; I've been researching those for years.
I stand for:
-
holistic,
-
energy-based ("root cause" aimed),
-
process-oriented,
-
non-pathologizing,
-
neurodiversity-affirming, and
-
a neurobiological trauma-informed approach to psychotherapy and healing work.
In my practice, I'm interested in what works, is safe, and helps my clients in the long run. I'm interested in root cause approaches that help genuinely heal, not merely treat, even though I also believe each of us is unique and has diverse needs regarding healing. I'm in for integrity and continuous learning, coupled with my profession's highest standards of ethics.
My experiences and love for the magic, science, and art of transformation drive my healing work together.
HERE ARE A FEW KEY CREDENTIALS
Psychology
BA Psychology
I earned B.A. in psychology studies from the University of Ljubljana. Toward the end of my studies, I oriented my interest to the psychology of women, object relations theory, and clinical work.
Psychodynamic Body-Oriented Psychotherapy
At age 25, I started over a decade-long experiential training and study in psychodynamic body-oriented psychotherapy. I hold a European Certificate of Psychotherapy from this training; EAP accredits it (European Association for Psychotherapy).
Energy Psychotherapy
Between 2012-2016 I was learning the integrative energy psychotherapy model Dynamic Energetic Healing® which fitted into my quest beyond traditional therapy; it also helped me expand my awareness of trauma treatment at the body, mind, and spiritual levels.
Trauma healing with energy psychology
EFT - Tapping Practitioner
I have additional energy psychology training as an EFT practitioner (L2 plus non-accredited L3) at EFT Center London. I also did specific training for "tapping out of trauma" TOOT 1.0 processing with Craig Weiner. On top of this, for years now, I've been individually working with my mentor and supervisor, Viv Fogel, a senior Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist and Master EFT trainer.
Soul Work and Sacred Womb Work
Sacred Womb Healing Practitioner
Soul Realignment Practitioner
In 2017, I started to explore soul work and sacred womb healing.
To this day, I'm happy to continue exploring and expanding my comprehension and practice of soul-level and sacred womb work, and I keep integrating it with the rest of my work.
